I’m preaching on Matthew 22:15-22 this week. As I wrote the manuscript I found myself thinking, “You know, the tension of the text would be perfectly illustrated by some faux attack ads.” Here’s the first one. Perhaps I’ll add some ominus music later.

I don’t know if I had anything to do with it, but I’ve been seeing lot’s of wordle sermons pop up in my blog reader lately. My friend Eric likes them, so here’s my latest:
This fall Central Baptist will be presenting a series entitled, “Kingdom Collision.” This series will explore the political realities of Jesus’ day, and how Jesus’ ministry interacted with those realities. This is a “teaser,” look for more updates over at Central Baptist’s web-site in the coming months. I’ll also be blogging here as I develop the series. I hope it will challenging!
